Phase 1 - UDC Section - Maplewood Cemetery, Durham, NC
Several members of the Camp and some wives met at Maplewood Cemetery in Durham, North Carolina on Saturday January 3 and Saturday January 17, 2009 to begin work on the replacement of the headstones of Confederate veterans. The focus of these two trips was the United Daughters of the Confederacy plot. We had a very productive day on January 3 and managed to get 15 of the 23 headstones installed. The remaining headstones were installed on January 17.
Special thanks go out to the following who participated in the installation portion of the project: Doug Nash, Don Burgess, William O’Quinn, Jay Stobbs, Rodney Watson, Kyle Watson, Mark Hall, J. L. Jones, Bruce Martin, Sheila Martin, David Patterson, John Nash, and Joyce Nash.

Living History - Seagrove, North Carolina
On November 18 and 19, 2006, members of the Camp and members of Company I (Cedar Fork Rifles), 6th North Carolina State Troops re-enactors participated in a living history at the 25th Annual Pottery Festival in Seagrove, NC. During the two day event, drills and rifle firing were performed for the spectators. The weather was a bit cool at night, but was absolutely beautiful during the day. We enjoyed the visits from the public during the day and the camaraderie of the encampment at night. All had a great time.
